Shinn Mechanical was the lead mechanical for this project. We were responsible for all MEP coordination, pipe fabrication, and field installation for a new Boiler Plant. University of Washington Oceanography Building: $5.6M

New lab facility with twenty five complex piping systems ranging from chilled water, steam, pure water, compressed air, vacuum, hot water, acid waste and HVAC and stainless steel fume exhaust systems.


Washington State Corrections Center – Shelton Steam Distribution: $4M

Installation of over 1 mile of concrete utilidor containing steam and condensate piping, originating at a central plant and distributed to all buildings on the campus. Included the installation of new PRV stations at every building. Multi system testing and hookup involved, without interruption to the occupied prison facility. Washington State Corrections Center – Shelton Domestic Water Repipe: $1.5M

The project involved removal and replacement of over 5,000 feet of hot and domestic water in Building ‘G’ at the Shelton Correctional Facility. Work included modifications to the existing steam system, furnish and install of new laundry supply/filtration system, and all new domestic water piping to the kitchen.
