Mike D. Shinn, CEO /President

Mike ShinnSince founding Shinn Mechanical in 1994, Mike Shinn has been actively involved with all aspects of the business, turning it into the successful company that it is today. Mike began in the piping trades and received the honor of UA Local 32's Steamfitter Apprentice of the Year. He rapidly ascended to the level of superintendent before breaking out on his own to start Shinn Mechanical. A recognized innovator in the piping industry, Mike has a gift for assessing projects and developing unique, efficient solutions to complex issues.

Mike is passionate about mechanical construction and dedicated to continually improving the industry as a whole. He is actively involved in the Mechanical Contractors Association (both national and local), having held many leadership and committee roles including; Chairman on the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC), U.A. Local 32 Negotiating Committee Member, MCAWW Academic Relations Committee, MCAWW Legislative Committee, and the MCAA Education Committee. In addition, Mike is the 2012-2013 MCAWW President. A strong believer in education, Mike served as an instructor for the apprenticeship program, teaching Steam Theory for over 10 years and regularly assists and promotes the Construction Management programs at Central Washington University, University of Washington, and Washington State University. Mike's ethical and fair business practices as well as his instinctive mechanical talents make him a positive leader in the industry.

Jennifer Moe, CFO

Jennifer MoeJennifer joined Shinn Mechanical in 1995 and brought with her a wealth of cost accounting and business management experience. Having worked in the construction industry throughout her career, Jennifer is a knowledgeable, competent leader and an invaluable asset to Shinn Mechanical. In 2002, she became a stockholder in the company and provides oversight on all major financial decisions within the organization. Jennifer skillfully manages a broad spectrum of functions for Shinn Mechanical, including capital asset purchases, financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance, banking and bonding relationships, insurance requirements, and directs all administrative staff. In addition, she offers a unique perspective on job-specific issues and assists the project teams in developing solutions. Jennifer's accounting acumen and professionalism have been instrumental in establishing Shinn Mechanical as the successful, respected company that it is today.

Howard Gamble, Project Manager

Howard GambleHoward came to Shinn Mechanical in 2010, having already spent over 25 years in mechanical construction. He has an outstanding reputation in the industry, with an extensive portfolio of successful projects completed throughout the Northwest. Owners and general contractors have come to respect Howard for his ethical and straightforward management practices. As the most experienced member of Shinn Mechanical's project management staff, Howard provides valuable knowledge and insight on all projects. He is proactive in identifying risk and working with the team to mitigate impacts. Most of all Howard demonstrates a strong commitment to integrity, credibility, accountability, quality, positive team relationships, and safety throughout all of his endeavors.

Dan Strong, Chief Estimator

In his 27 year career, Dan has risen through the ranks serving as a journeyman, foreman, superintendent, estimator, coordinator and manager. He has proven himself as a sought after leader in our industry and has left his mark on many successful projects. He is extremely organized, resourceful and innovative at planning and overseeing field installations, managing subcontractors and estimating costs. In the 6 years Dan has been with Shinn Mechanical he has proven to be a valuable member of our team.

Don Gilmore, COO /Vice President

Don GilmoreDon Gilmore's developed aptitude for project organization combined with his leadership skills and mechanical accomplishments make him a highly respected leader in the trade. He spent time in the Navy before entering the mechanical construction field as a pipefitter. Don's comprehensive hands-on experience gives him the insight to uphold his expectation of excellent quality of workmanship on all Shinn projects. As Vice President and the leader of operations for Shinn his responsibilities are vast, however he still makes the time to maintain close relationships with both his employees and clients. He oversees all shop operations, Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents and assists with placement of field personnel. Don has been with the company since 1997 and in 2002 became a stockholder of Shinn Mechanical. As a face of the company, he is an excellent representative for Shinn Mechanical with his honest and up-front approach.

Jacob Smith, Project Manager

Jake SmithJake brings a technological expertise and organized management style to Shinn Mechanical. He came to Shinn in 2002 with prior experience in the construction industry, having worked in the field as a carpenter and then as a project engineer for Howard S. Wright. Jake graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and continues to enhance his leadership skills through industry training programs and certifications. Jake has been instrumental in Shinn's growth and success, having implemented many cost management and job tracking strategies used within the company. He has a positive, professional demeanor, earning him the respect of Shinn Mechanical's clients and field personnel alike. Jake manages a wide array of projects and is responsible for the successful completion of many marquee jobs for Shinn Mechanical. Jake is an MCAA Certified Mechanical Project Manager and has attained certification as a Professional Constructor from the American Institute of Constructors. He is also a member of Central Washington University's Construction Management Advisory Council.

John Eimer III, Project Manager

John EimerJohn has been with Shinn Mechanical since 2008 and is primarily responsible for managing special projects. He possesses excellent organizational and management skills, which allow him to track and control many jobs at one time. John has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Mechanical Contractors Association's Certified Mechanical Project Manager course. He possesses a broad skill set and provides valuable input and assistance in multiple capacities, including estimating, project management, purchasing, and marketing/proposal preparation. John's talents have proven to be very beneficial to the Shinn Mechanical team.
